Blog Assignment #22 by Ayana Shinogi
My favorite movie is a dance performance by Oukazi Eisa. Oukazi Eisa is my joining club in J.F Oberlin University. The dance is called Eisa. Eisa is traditional Okinawa’s dance that uses native drums. When I entered the Univercity in spring, I joined the club and started Eisa. The film was taken at the festival that called Okinawa's Eisa festival in Shinjuku, July 26 last year. The festival is a big Eisa festival in Tokyo, you can see an Eisa dance performance everywhere that day. We showed dance performance fifth times a day. It was a hot day, a thermometer showed us Celsius 35 degrees. This film is the our final dance performance in the festival, so we were so tired. I felt that the final dance performance was too longer than usual dance performance. It was so hard for me, but I was excited. I think it is precious experience, because I will not like that performance. It is one of my treasured memories.
