I can't believe It is already one month since I came to Fort Smith. I'm surprise it that I don't much feel more missing Japan than I had expected. I like my family and Japan , such as food, culture, entertainment and TV show, so I had expected that I missing Japan while I stay in America. I don't know for this reason, but I guess this reason that there are kind people in here. Therefore it is little difficult for me to answer today's topic, but I come up with missing things about Japanese three things. First is Japanese rice, because I ate rice every meal in Japan. There is brown rice in here, but it is different from Japanese rice. It is dryer than Japanese rice. I want to eat Japanese rice. Second is fish. I like fish better than meat, but It is not many opportunities eat fish in here. I'm unhappy about it. Third is my pet. I have a dog, so I miss my dog. Sometimes my mother send me pictures of my dog. Watching it’s pictures, I want to see my dog.
I believe it is great that you don't miss Japanese things so much. I don't miss Japan so much neither, but one thing I realized is eating habits are quite difficult to change. I like American food, but I guess I cannot live only with American food. I would like to enjoy eating Japanese food after going back to Japan.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot have fish a lot because we are surrounded by land. Fish is very expensive because it would have to be shipped from the ocean to us. I eat chicken all the time because it is healthy. Cafeteria rice is not good, I agree.
