Blog assignment #21 by Ayana Shinogi

There are a lot of nice places in Japan. For example, there are Japanese ancient city Nara and Kyoto, modern city Tokyo,  beautiful tropical island Okinawa and so on. Among them, I would recommend that you visit Kamakura in Kanagawa prefecture. Kamakura is beautiful seaside city with a lot of historical shrines and temples. It takes about an hour by train from Tokyo. When you go to Kamakura, you should ride in Enoden. Enoden is small but famous line  because  often location of movie or drama and you can see Pacific Ocean. There is the Great buddha in Kamakura. It's one of the most popular huge Buddha statue in Japan. The statue was build in 1252 and second highest Buddha statute. It is 11 meters high and a national treasure. You can enter the inside of Buddha statute. You should try to it. I think the best season in Kamakura is fall, because you can see colored leaves. The scene is very beautiful. If you visit to Japan, you will visit Kamakura!

  1. My sister lives in Yokohama, so her house is located close to Kamakura. I went there when I visited her house. It was very fashionable, beautiful, and also pleasant place. As I've never got on a train yet, I would like to try it next time!
