I like America and American life. I am really
enjoying it now. However, because I have lived in Japan for 19 years since I was born, sometimes I miss
Japanese things. First is a Japanese food. American food is too heavy, oily, and sweetly. I’m tired to eat the pizza every day. Especially, American rice is terrible. I eat a rice every day in Japan and I never become tired of eating it. I can't eat the rice in cafeteria. The American rice is dry and tastes
nothing, while Japanese one is sweet and tasty. Second things is bathroom. Japanese
shower room is larger and shower and changing space are separated. However, there
is just a curtain between shower space and changing space. Third thing is a room.
I miss my own room. I have room mate and he sets many alarm early in the morning and
he never wake up. I want to sleep long time but I can’t because of his alarm. Waking
up early in the morning is good thing but I want to over sleep at least on
Saturday.
I understand your feeling that you miss sticky rice. When I was in Japan, I ate it almost every day. Though American food is not so bad, sometimes I miss the taste of Japanese food very much. (I cook rice by myself sometimes.) Oh, did you talk about the problem with your roommate? Perhaps he may stop the alarm if he knows you feel annoyed with it.
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree with you about the Cafeteria rice. It is no good, but do not say that all American rice is not good. You have only had cafeteria rice. Do some research on how to eat healthy in the cafeteria, try salads. Tell your roommate the problem you have with his alarms.
