Blog Assignment #49 by Yukari Kondo

Today we had a special event called NUMA Awards. It was at the Campus Center. It was like a big party, and so many people. There was an award ceremony. Everyone wore dress up clothes because it was a formal event. I wore my dress that I bought for 6 dollars. There was food like salad and something looks like chicken. I wanted to eat salad, but I can't fruits so I couldn't eat it. I have a fruit allergy. There were also cupcakes, but they had sour cream and they didn't taste good. I ate only the chicken. I thought it was a very fun event. However, I couldn't understand anything about the awards. I didn't understand what they were saying, so it was boring sometimes. I want to be better listener of English so I can understand events like NUMA Awards. I'm glad I could have a good time with everyone at formal event. It was my first time to dress up for a formal event in America. It was a good experience.
