Blog Assignment #52 by Yukari Kondo
I think most hardest point is car. if I don't
have my car, I can't go anywhere in the USA. Even I go to Walmart, we have to
sign up at International office. I can't go anywhere when I want to go
somewhere. I thought I can't live in America without car. When I go to Walmart,
or central mall and buy something a lot, I can't bring it to our dorm. Because American
staff is everything big, and heavy. American weather is easily change. It was
56 degrees, cold yesterday. However, it is 66 degrees, hot today. Temperature
difference is too bad for me. When I went to Memphis, it was snowing one day.
Then I caught a cold. I have still catch a cold. American food also hardest
point I think because Japanese food is so healthy so I can't keep eating American
food a lot. Sometimes, I feel "I don't eat at the cafeteria" because
of American food is strong taste.
Blog Assignment #52 by Nanako Suzuki
What I cannot eat fresh vegetables is the hardest part of being in here at UAFS for me. It's because I use lions cafeteria everyday. There is a salad corner, but it is not good. I used to eat the salad, but I haven't been eating it in these days, because the taste is weird sometimes. I don't know why the taste is weird, but it is bad actually, and it might be not fresh.
I also think American food is not included a lot of vegetables, unless I order salads. In fact, I did't often eat vegetables when I was in Japan, but the opportunity that I eat vegetables is much less than before. So, I want to eat a lot of vegetables after I go back to Japan. I want to eat vegetable sticks in particular, because I like it.
Blog assignment #52 by Ayana Shinogi
There are a lot of hard things since I came to here from Japan. America is so different from Japan for instance, language, lifestyle, religion, culture, food and so on. In addition I had not been to foreign country, so this is first time for me coming to countries other than Japan. it was hard to adapt in here, because I knew just Japanese society. My the hardest part of being at UAFS is food. I born in Japan, so I eat Japanese food every day. I like Japanese food. Japanese food is more healthy and soft taste than American food. At the beginning, I didn't want to eat, because I felt american food is too strong taste and use a lot of oil. Also I eat meal in the cafeteria which taste is no so good for me. I missed Japanese food. So my the hardest part is food.
Blog Assignment #52 by Kosuke Fujisaki
There are two things hardest part of being
at UAFS for me. First things is transportation. I don’t have a car so I could
not go anywhere by myself. There are bus stop around the town, but I don’t know
how to ride and pay. In addition, the bus is not working on Sunday. Most of the
time, I want to use bus in Sunday. There is a central mall but it’s little far
so I can’t buy many things. I need to call someone just to go Walmart. I brought
international license, but I can’t rent a car because I’m under 21 years old.
Blog Assignment #52 by Kotaro Arashiro
Today’s blog topic is ‘’ what has been the
hardest part of being here at UAFS other than school work?’’ It is a little
difficult for me to answer that because I can’t come up with the hardest thing
other than school life, so I want to talk about the day which I was tired the
most in this studying abroad. It is the first day the other ACE students and I start
the studying abroad. On the day I left from Japan, I moved to the airport by
train with heavy bag pack and suitcase. It took about one hour to get the
airport. I gathered the other ACE students there, and we checked the plane, and
left from Japan. It was the first time to go to a foreign country, so I was
excited on the plane. On the plane, I couldn’t sleep well, so I watched many
movies all the time. It took about 12 hours to get Fort Smith. When we arrived,
I was so tired because of the jet lag. This is the memory that I tired the most.

Today's blog assignment is "What has been the hardest part of being here at UAFS?" I think this assignment is most difficult of the all blog, because this assignment is made conditions. The conditions is other than school work. If there aren't conditions, this assignment is easy. For example, it's hard to class, homework and more. So I think this assignment is most difficult. I think that my hardest part is weather and temperature of UAFS. My health always break down when change the season. Arkansas temperature difference is quite extreme. It seems like to change the season, so My health often break down. I can't count how many times I got a stomach. When I feel to hurt my heart, I think that I will die. But now my health is good, so I am relieved. My health is very week, so I want to keep living in good health about two weeks.
Blog Assignment #52 by Takumi
I am going to write about today's blog topic. Today's blog topic is "Hardest Part of being at UAFS" I think, there are not shopping moll nearby UAFS, so this thing is hardest part. I want to go to Walmart and Central moll, but I do not have car so I can not go to these places. And I want to go to big park. Other Japanese students and I played Frisbee and soccer sometimes on campus. But park is bigger than on campus so I want to go to big park. And I want to Convenience store nearby UAFS. I like Convenience store because it is very convenient. There are a lot of Convenience store in Japan. And I have never seen Convenience store in America. But I think, hardest part of there are not shopping moll nearby UAFS.

Blog Assignment #50 by Kosuke Fujisaki
Last Saturday, we went to Mt. Magazine. Mt. Magazine is the highest mountain in Arkansas. We hiked more than one hours. It was my first real hiking. I walked one or two hours. I was getting tired, but I really enjoyed beautiful view.
In this trip, Arkansas Tech University students hiked together. I met exchange student which is from another countries. I have never meet exchange student except Japan and Vietnam. So this trip was great experience for me.
We have lunch at lodge restaurant. It was really good restaurant. The food was expensive but they have really beautiful. I really liked it.
After that, I went to Laos New Year Festival. I ate Laos food and it was really good. I got lucky charm at the temple. We played with shaving cream. It is Laos’s traditional play. Actually, In Laos, they use water. I don't know why but American using shaving cream.
On Sunday, we went to church in the morning with Robert and Kotaro. We joined class and talked about bible. I just listened they are talking.
Afterwards, we went toNorth West Arkansas to play Laser Tag. It was so much fun. Our team was lost a lot of time so I went to revenge and beat them.
Blog Assignment #50 by Yukari Kondo
On Saturday, I went on a drive with my boyfriend
around University of Arkansas Fort Smith. I bought a 1 Hash Browns at McDonalds
in the morning. He loves coffee so he ordered a black coffee. Then we went to
Walmart. I bought two tissues, snacks, doughnuts and some medicines because I
still have a cold. Afterwards, he gave me my birthday presents! In the box,
there were a lot of Disney goods! His friend Whitney working at Disney Parks in
Florida so she sent this gift to my boyfriend then he gave it to me. I’m so happy.
One of present, card is my favorite because Mickey and Minnie’s autographs. I
love it. Other presents were a headband, a doll, a key ring, a necklace, a can
batch, a wristband, a keychain, and three pens. We played baseball with my
friends. We ate a big pizza in the night. On Sunday, we found some big baseball
park. We watched some games. I thought Arkansas people likes baseball.
Afterwards, we went back this university to prepare for Laser Tag. Then I went
to somewhere to do laser tag. I was so sad because I can see him only one time until
I go back Japan. Laser Tag was so interesting. That gun was heavy than I
thought. I killed sometimes. It was fun and I like Laser Tag. I want to do it one
more time before I go back Japan. I had a great weekend.
