There are many different things in here. For
example, foods, people’s character, paying tip, wearing shoes in the room and
so on.
First, I felt culture shock about food in
the United States. The taste of American food is stronger than Japanese food. So
I didn’t want to eat much foods during first few days. I wanted to eat light
taste like Japanese food. I still think I want to eat Japanese food, but also I
got used to eating American food too. So it’s not big problem now, but I eat
salad every day, because I like it and eating vegetable is good for my health.
The custom to pay tip for good service is
usual things in here, but it’s not usual things in Japan, so I always confuse
when I pay tip.
And wearing shoes in the room is not usual
for me. I think taking off shoes is important, because I can relax.
What do you think about the difference of people's character between Japan and America? Regarding tips, I like Japan better because we don't need to pay it. Honestly I feel tips are expensive...
