My favorite activity is international olympic. It was really exciting. There are 4 team. My team was orange team. Actually, my team mate doesn't  interested in olympic and we lose first game, so I thought our team never going to won. However, we won the games after first game. Doesn't won every game but we got high scores.  In the final game, it was relay. Our team was really fast! Finally, we won. I can't believe that. I don't really like sport but I became love sport. I liked theatre show too. My conversation tutor was act on the show. The show was really deep stories. Then my tutors pick me up to the stage. He fishing me. I really glad to join the show. It was really exciting. And he gave me the little fish on the stage. It is my treasure. There are a lot of activities on ace program. I really enjoy that and it will became great experience for us. I can't wait next activities

There were a lot of snow day in this week, so there were not activity so much. However activity was very nice in this week. First, we went to retirement center and show  old people Japanese traditional dance. It was very precious experience. We danced Tankoubushi and Marumarumorimori, Tankoubushi is traditional Japanese dance and Marumarumorimori is Japanese popular drama song. I like these song, so I'm happy to show these dance. When we return to the university, I went to say old people “ Thank you for listing “. Old people said me “ Thank you for coming”, and a grand mother said me “ You are spunky girl”. I was so happy.   Second, we went to watch basketball game last night. The game was so exiting me. I saw dunk shot. It was so cool. The UAFS won the game. I'm so excited! I cold make good memories this week.

Last week me and my friend Takumi got to meet our host family for the first time. Their names are Tad and Jimmy and they are very friendly. Takumi and and I met them at the school around six. Afterwards we went to their house. They have two dogs named Momo and Jeff. After dinner we got to play a game called Risk. It's a hard game, but I like it. Afterwards we went back to school and got to see our dorms. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my host family and I couldn't wait until I could see them again. So far I like being in America. It's different, but I like it here.

The most enjoying event is to see the basketball game. I like to see and play basketball, so I glad to see the American basketball game. This is very different from the Japanese basketball game. The first, american is very powerful and fast. Japanese guys is small and thin, but American is very toll and muscular. I have never seen the dank shot in person. Dank shot may not see in Japan. Because I glad to see it. And everyone has very physical ability, so they do that I am not thought about it. I have ever thought, that playing can see the NBA, but the truth I can see it in the university, so I thought that again an American is great. The second, a stadium is very big. If I play basketball in here, I am very happy. It looks like the stadium which a professional totally used.

Hello, my name is Takumi Ochiai. This week was a lot of snowy. Today is snowy too. Most interesting active in this week was the basketball watching yesterday. I watched the basketball game at second time on yesterday. I like watching sports. In particular, I like to watch the American people sport. Because I different size of the body and also powerful. So, watching sports is better in the United States than in Japan. In particular, Height is high people to dunk shoot. It is not hard to watch in Japan. And I was the first time the basketball watching. So Japan do not know, but is very cool American atmosphere. American players had a basketball was higher everyone very height. I do not play basketball. But I like watching basketball. I want to go to watch a professional game. And I want to go watch a Major League Baseball game.

Blog Assignment #15 Yukari Kondo

I enjoyed going to the Retirement Center this week. My favorite part was when we gave rice balls and miso soup to them. I wanted them to eat Japanese rice balls and miso soup so it made me so happy. There were sweet flavor and salt flavor rice balls. When they tried eating the rice ball they said it was good. I was glad that they learned about Japanese food and culture. Then we danced in front of them. We showed them Tankoubushi. It is a Japanese traditional dance. We also danced Marumarumorimori. It is the ending song from a popular Japanese drama. We wore Japanese traditional clothes. I wore a yukata for the first time since elementary school. I think yukatas are beautiful. If you go to a Japanese festival during summer time, you can see many people wearing yukatas. This picture shows Japanese traditional clothes, yukata and eisaa. I had fun. I’m glad everyone else had a good time, too.

There are two days off by snow on this week. So there were not so many events on this weekday, but a basketball game on last night was so excited. The players were so fast and they shoot the goal many times. I saw some dunk shots in the game. I’d never seen it in Japan, so it made me exciting. Also, the musical performance and cheering by girls were beautiful and powerful. Furthermore, a lot of kids came the place last night. They danced with music, and they were so cute. I talked with two old person a little. They were kind, because they talked me by so slowly English, but also the place was so noisy so it’s difficult to listen to their talking.

Lions was strong, and finally they won the game. I had a good time. I like sports, so I want to watch other sport games too.

There are a lot of things that I want to do during this three months. First, I want to be able to speak English well, because I want to more enjoy talking with American people. If I can speak English well, I will be able to communicate with them more easily. However, speaking about my feeling and my opinion are so difficult. I think about it every day. But also, maybe I can more listen and understand English now than three weeks ago. So I want to more talk with people.

Then, I want to visit a lot of place in U.S.A while I stay at here, because I want to broaden my horizons. For example, I want to visit Disneyland during spring break. I have never visit Disneyland in U.S.A. So it will be so excited. Also, I’m looking forward to see a lot of nature in Arkansas, because I often hear from many people there are a lot of nature in Arkansas, so I want to see beautiful nature too.
